BD™ Blunt Fill Needle with Filter 18G x 1 ½" are ideal for easy and fast drawing of high-viscosity fluids from glass ampoules. 

It is common for glass shards to fall to the bottom of the ampoule when the neck is broken. Equipped with a 5µm filter, BD™ Blunt Fill Needle with Filter prevents the broken glass in the bottom of the ampoule from finding it's way in the final syringe for injection.

Please note that this is a blunt needle and cannot be used to transfer contents into a sterile vial as it may not pierce a rubber stopper efficiently. A replacement 20G Needle should be used.
