Luer-lok Mechanism on Syringes and Needles

Posted by Erez Medical on

Luer-lok fittings are securely joined by means of a tabbed hub on the female fitting which screws into threads in a sleeve on the male fitting.

Most of the syringes and needles we carry of both Terumo and BD brands are interchangeable and come with the Luer-lok mechanism of attaching to one another so that the needle and syringe are held and locked in place with out the chance of one slipping off the other.

The Terumo Tuberculin 1cc 25G x 5/8" syringe needle combination is the only non Luer-lok but Luer-slip attachment mechanism. Even though the attachement mechanism is a Luer-slip, luer-lok needles do fit and work well.
